Here's the AT-ST plus the 6 Snowtroopers I've finished total. Just wanted to see how they look in a little larger group. AT-ST isn't that much of a conversion. Repositioned the legs and guns, added side domes courtesy of some Tau bits. Had to build the feet to match the AT-STs. Cut up a small round bases, smoothed the edge and glued cut-up Sentinel feet to finish it off. Filed off all the rivets on the body to clean it up some. Damn I guess it's more work than I thought. Rushed to finish it, the next one should be cleaner. Plan on finishing Squad 1 of Platoon 1 this week.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I F'ing love it dude! It will be a pleasure to drink beer and watch the battle of Hoth unfold! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Great job man!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I love the dirty oil look on the hydrolics on the legs.
ReplyDeleteHow did you do the snow bases.
Snow bases are done with elmers glue mixed with white paint and water, then dipped in snow flock. Bought one of those uber tubs from Hobby Town for like 8 bucks or whatever. Dude at the store was trying to tell me to mix glue and rubbing alcohol. Uh whatever dude.
ReplyDeleteWanted to do your technique, but decided to do something a little different to set the armies a little more apart.
