6/30/13 - I've started a huge terrain project with the idea of creating a factory ruin thing. It is huge, 15" high 20" long and about 10" deep. This is going to be huge!

6/30/13 - Eldar distractions have slowed this down to a crawl. Maybe next month will be better.
6/10/13 - Progress.... slow progress due to the distraction of the Eldar Codex (wow night and day from IG). Definitely not doing the "rivets" on the track guard this time. I do need to pick up some more of the hex piping.

5/30/2013 - I really dislike the Karsakin models by GW. I thought about ordering the elysians from forgeworld and my end up going that route but replacing the heads. That sounds blasphemous, I know, why spend that kind of money on forgeworld when you are going to replace the heads. Afterall, it is cheaper than buying 10 dire avengers with the ridiculous price gouging.

If I can't pull the trigger on the elysians I will wind up going with the dreamforge minis linked below. I really like their guns with the drum on the side but hate the helmet.

4/3/2013 - Pic found. The left is more veteran material. The left center is nice but not bulky enough for 4 save. Right center seems like the right fit if a little generic. The right is just bleh. I know he is an officer but still bleh.

Now what to use for conversions? Suggestions welcome. I did a bit more research and found these miniatures. The only problem is that they are almost as tall as space marines but much thinner. Definitely would have to swap out the heads for something like this so that they would look much less like star wars stormtrooppers.

4/2/2013 - In the last 4 or so games the stormtroopers have been invaluable. However, with the changes to the flyers I am not sure they will be as effective as they were before but they still could be useful. I need to do something for them but have no idea how to convert them up. I'll research first what the rebels used as elite teams and then work from there.
