Reaper Legion... Mercenary Kill Team

The Reaper Merc crew is coming together.

Between my son and I we're pushing hard to work through the conversion process. I've put together an  mercenary group entitled the "Reaper Legion", using the IG Kill Team rules for Inquisidmunda. The colors will eventually be green armor and grey fatigues like the model to the far right (AJAX). I have another 5 troopers filling the ranks that are not imaged. I'm pretty happy with the conversions so far. They will be a dream to paint when I get my next string off from work. Oh, and the skull you see on SGT Grymm  is really a ballistic mask like in Army of two...

Cities of the Dead... the zombies hunger

A Mercenary group and a Cult of the Mechanicus meet upon a battlefield sodden with the undeath. Their forces must combine or perish,
The Mechanicum enters the field...

ILLUMINATUS - A 40k Skirmish Campaign

I've taken a keen interest in the 40k skirmish concept. I'm sure you all remember the "Cities of the Dead" skirmish game that was coldly received when hundreds of Zombies overran Joel's IG... :D
Well, after about 5 more games like that I've moved past just zombies. I've found three different sets of rules floating around the web but I set my sights on Inquisimunda. The rules are based on GW's Necromunda gang warfare game and allow for nearly every race and class in the 40k universe. You could easily create a "power warband" but if you generally stick with the fluff, offered up by the Black Library, all of the warbands will be balanced enough for competitive play. Check out the Empire of Ghosts resource page for the ruleset: (http://empireofghosts.blogspot.com/p/inquisimunda-resources.html). I've printed out everything Jeremy has to offer and have playtested it... I'm hooked. Cody and I are hurriedly converting new warbands for an ultimate game at the end of the month (but that is another post).
