40k Skirmish... Here We Go Again!

Alright dudes, after 20 days off and a few games of 40k, it sounds like Illuminatus (aka Inquisimunda or =I=munda) is back on the table!!! We have a total of 4 players (Ryan, Ryan O, Cody and myself) and possibly a 5th, if I can convince Rob to give it it a go. We'll be using the Inquisimunda rules that Jeremy Olsen and Misgula put together. I found it over on the Empire of Ghosts blog. Anyways, the rules provide us a solid and balanced start to run all kinds of warbands in the 40k universe; be it a Chaos Coven, an Inquisitor's Retinue, a Crime Syndicate or a Xenos Kill Team, there are many more choices and all seem to be full of character.

So, I'm sprucing up the Madwars: Illuminatus site and will be adding all kinds of inspirational "how to" modules, rules clarifications and tools; all to help drive us to a perfect start up. Additionally, I'll be crafting a story line which I'm sure will help drive warband creation.

This doesn't mean 40k is being put to the side by any stretch. As I outlined in an earlier post I'm back in the saddle (cockpit) and I plan to stay there. In all actuality, I intend to have our bloody affairs played out in the shadows, to have an  impact on the narrative story line that we've been building in our battle reports (see Battle Shots).
