Only one of six sections to the place! |
This weekend I brought the Padawan to a local game shop. It's probably 10 min from the house with moderate traffic. Not bad!!! Anyways, the place looks really sloppy at first glance but there is a method to this madness that the lay person may not pick up on. Pillars of product all over the place, mounds of terrain spilling into the squished isles... absolute genius! Walking through this place reminds me of Christmas when I was Ten. I don't know if anything is new unless I dig through the piles and then OMG look what I found!!! A squadron of landspeeders and some Black Templar Upgrade sprues. There's something to be said about surprise in marketing, most places don't have any as they are so interested in pushing you the latest thing. I've been to this place twice and both times I have never been more satisfied with my purchases in this hobby. I don't think I walked out of there spending less than $100 BOTH times. Don't forget I have thousands of dollars in product waiting to be built and painted back at the cave. The only draw back this place has is gaming space; only two total tables in the joint. Something to get used to but you are able to reserve the tables in advance so you can plan your conquests. Otherwise, the owner is super friendly and the customer base is equally engaging and happy to know you. I rank this place as #2 in my entire hobby experience... #1 being Warhammer World in Nottingham, England, but that is another story.

Seriously, the place was AWESOME!!! Already on my 4th Chaos Space Marine!!! It was my first buy from one of the biggest (and best) gameshops on the island!!!
