I spent 8 hours on one Neophyte. Granted, I tried several different paint schemes and wasted an hour on decals. I decided Neophytes haven't earned the honor of having anything on their shoulder pads as they are so inexperienced. In any case, I figured out the right paint recipe and I should be cranking these guys out! I went from Adeptus Gray to Codex Gray on the highlights and used white for the extremes. The light highlights work well with the slush on the bases creating a winterish feel. Many more to follow...
Dude that looks awesome! Love the base. Good conversion too with the Catachan head, interesting choice. Paint job looks great as always. Damn your Black Templars are going to be sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the bump dude... he's still missing red purity seals which will help offset the drab effect. Going to wait until the whole squad is before those are applied. Only have 4 hours to paint today. I'll post to the log what I get finished.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I can see that he has eyes, which is great detail. I am surprised that a catachan head fits on a regular marine body, or is that a scout body?
ReplyDeleteAnyway he looks great and the slush is white. I am envious.
